A pilgrimage to the holy cave of Shri Maa Vaishno Devi is the holiest pilgrimages of modern time. This is considered as the most wish fulfilling centre of pilgrimage. The holy shrine of Shri Maa Vaishno Devi is located in the three peaked mountain name Trikuta. The holy cave is located at an altitude of 5200 feet. The Yatra trek strectches to 12 kms from Darshanidwar in Katra. The number of devotee visiting every year exceeds one crore. The manifestation of Maa Vaishno Devi as one of 108 Shakti Peetha, is in shape of three natural rock formation called Pindies. There are no statues or idols inside the holy cave.Darshans are open round the clock throughout the year.

Shri Kedarnath Yatra

Shri Kedarnath Ji (Hindi : केदारनाथ मंदिर) is one of the four major sites in India's Char Dham pilgrimage of Northern Himalayas. It is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located atop the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini River. The temple is open only between the end of April to kartik purnima (full moon).

During the winters, the idols from Shri Kedarnath temple are brought to Ukhimath and worshipped till Shri Kedarnath temple opens again. The temple is believed to have been built by Adi Sankaracharya and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the holiest Hindu shrines of Lord Shiva. The older temple existed from the times of Mahabharata, when the Pandavas are supposed to have pleased Lord Shiva by doing penance in Kedarnath.

The temple is not directly accessible by road and has to be reached by a 23 km uphill trek from Gaurikund. Chhoti Lincholi 15 km from Son Prayag and Badi Lincholi 16 km from Son Prayag have basic facilities for night halt.
